Scoring Methodology
How your profile becomes a Battle Score.
Every battle is about a specific challenge
WorkBattle reviews the experience, skills and achievements in your BoomBand dossier, resume or pasted profile against the scenario you choose. The same profile can score differently in different scenarios.
85% comes from what your profile demonstrates
AI identifies relevant examples in your profile. A fixed scoring system then weighs your skills, results, judgment, responsibilities, industry knowledge, teamwork, adaptability and the detail behind your claims. Specific achievements carry more weight than simply listing a skill. Repeating the same example does not earn extra points.
15% comes from related experience
We use role dates or clearly stated durations to count relevant experience in months. Overlapping jobs count once, and unrelated work does not add experience points. More related time increases this part of the score, with smaller gains as experience grows—so years alone do not outweigh stronger achievements.
We count the time your profile supports
Current roles count through the last completed month. Year-only dates are treated as estimates, and missing dates are not invented. If an undated statement could overlap your work history, we compare the totals rather than add them together. For the clearest calculation, include month-and-year dates for each relevant role.
Your score is out of 100, shown to three decimals
For example, 82.375 is a Battle Score.
Close battles can still tie
Leaderboards compare battles using the same scoring version. Higher scores rank first. Equal scores are ordered by scenario-specific fit, demonstrated results, related experience, then the earliest battle. We do not add random fractions to force a winner. Repeat submissions of the same profile do not fill the board with duplicate entries.
You can see what contributed
Your result shows Signals, dimension scores and their weights. Open “View experience calculation” to see the related roles, counted months and experience formula. Identical submissions reuse their analysis within the same scoring month and version. When the scoring method changes, older results stay available, but a new battle is needed to enter the updated boards.
